ERQIVA GUIDES
How do you choose your VPN duration?
A trip, a few months or everyday use? Compare durations, prices and renewal options to choose a VPN at your own pace.
A week’s holiday, a few months of travelling or a VPN for everyday use: the right duration depends mainly on your routine. At Erqiva, you can choose occasional access or a monthly plan that renews automatically.
A good habit: start with your actual needs, then compare the total price and renewal method.
Which duration suits your usage?
One week: for an occasional need
A short stay, a business trip or a few days away from home? Seven days may be enough if your need has clear limits. Just remember to cover the whole trip, including your return.
One month: to establish your habits
This is a practical duration for discovering the service in your usual circumstances or covering a longer stay. You have time to try your devices and see how often you use the VPN. This is a paid plan, not a free trial.
Three months: for regular use
Already using your VPN several times a week? Three months offers a compromise between a short period and a full year. This duration also suits an assignment or a stay lasting several weeks.
One year: for an ongoing need
If a VPN is part of your daily life, a year avoids regularly buying more access time. The equivalent monthly cost is lower, but the full year’s price is paid in one payment. Choose it especially if you expect to use the service over the longer term.

Erqiva offers at a glance
| Duration | Price | Renewal |
|---|---|---|
| 1 week | €2.50 | At your initiative |
| 1 month | €5.00 | At your initiative |
| 3 months | €12.00 | At your initiative |
| 1 year | €40.00 | At your initiative |
| Automatic monthly | €5.00 / month | Automatic |
For comparison: three months works out at €4 per month, and a year at around €3.33 per month. These equivalents are only for comparing costs: the three-month and one-year plans are paid in full when ordering.

One-off payment or automatic renewal?
With a one-off payment, you buy a specific duration. There is no recurring charge: at the end of the period, access expires unless you extend it. This is practical for keeping control over every purchase.
With automatic monthly renewal, access renews each month with a new charge. This plan suits you if you want to keep using your VPN without placing another order. You can disable renewal in your customer area; access remains available until the end of the period already paid for.
The word “monthly” therefore describes a duration, but is not enough to identify the payment method: check the plan you choose carefully.
What if your needs change?
You can start with a short duration, then extend your access. At Erqiva, a new purchase keeps your VPN account and credentials: the chosen duration is added to the time remaining. If access has expired, it starts when reactivated.
Before choosing, ask yourself three questions:
- Until when do I need the VPN? For a trip, start with your dates.
- How much am I prepared to pay now? Compare the total to pay, not just its monthly equivalent.
- Do I want automatic renewal? Make an informed choice.
The idea is simple: access that fits your habits, with a duration and payment method that suit you. Compare Erqiva plans.
